Why IOA Marker
Live oral assessments are hard to mark. You’re in a conversation, not reviewing a document. By the time you’ve filled out a rubric, the moment has passed.
IOA Marker takes a different approach: you give an overall mark and record a few quick observations. The app derives per-criterion scores from there. After the session, AI drafts written comments from your notes — you edit and send.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”- Overall mark — your holistic judgement, 0–100
- Indicators — quick observations on a 5-point scale (well below → well above)
- Notes — rough thoughts, quotes, anything you want in the feedback
- Derived scores — the app distributes your overall mark across criteria based on your indicators
- AI comments — helps draft written feedback from your marks and notes
What AI does and doesn’t do
Section titled “What AI does and doesn’t do”AI drafts written comments. It never touches scores — those come from your inputs and deterministic code. Same inputs, same outputs, every time.
Student views
Section titled “Student views”You can choose what students see: the full breakdown, just indicators, just criteria scores, or just the overall mark. The marking process is the same either way.
